Developed by Women in Sport Aotearoa, Rise & Thrive Coaching Connect is designed to support, develop, and inspire female coaches across all sporting codes. This session focuses on athlete emotional and cognitive development, health, and wellbeing, featuring two incredible speakers with extensive coaching experience.

🔥 Raylene Bates MNZM – Athletics NZ Para Lead & HP Throws Coach

  • A highly respected coach with over 40 years of experience in athletics, coaching both able-bodied and para athletes.
  • She has worked with many elite athletes, including Paralympian Holly Robinson.
  • Joining us online from Otago, Raylene will share her expertise on athlete development and coaching strategies.

🔥 Jody Cameron – Kāhu Basketball Head Coach, Olympian & International Team Coach

  • Head Coach of the Kāhu Basketball team, former Tall Fern, and Olympian.
  • Leads the Te Hāpaitanga programme at High Performance Sport NZ, which supports emerging and high-potential female coaches.
  • Jody will provide valuable insights into high-performance coaching and athlete well-being.
