Board Position

​​​​​​​Everyone Active – Kia Mātātoa Tatoū is Sport Manawatū’s 4-year strategy that sets the foundation to lead, empower, engage, and achieve equity for our community through play, active recreation, and sport. 

The key skills and experience we are looking for are:

• Corporate governance experience and risk management. 
• Ability to think strategically and a passion for play, active recreation and sport in our community.

The Board of Trustees aim to exemplify good governance practices and promote board diversity as a key contributor to effective leadership.  To ensure we have a balanced and diverse Board we especially encourage applications from residents in the Manawatū, Tararua and Horowhenua districts.

Trustee positions receive a honoraria payment. Board meetings are 6 weekly for approximately 2 hours.  Other commitments outside of board meetings may include participating in Board sub-committees and attending functions as a Sport Manawatū Board representative.  The new trustees will be appointed at the October 2024 Annual General Meeting.
